The leader of the opposition is expressing his disappointment in government for not being “proactive” regarding the cost of living, or the future of the offshore industry in the province.
David Brazil says people are worried about how they will continue to afford to live in Newfoundland and Labrador, especially when job prospects such as the Bay du Nord project remain uncertain.
He says the worry the public is experiencing is a “direct result” of inaction on the part of government. He says officials are ignoring viable options, while people of the province struggle.
Brazil stresses the importance of “charting a path to prosperity” for the province, rather than simply managing decline.
