Marble Mountain Ski Patrol and the Outdoor Operations team have completed the evacuation of forty chairs full of people from Marble Mountain’s Lightning Express ski-lift.
Marketing Manager at Marble Mountain Resort, Dustin Parsons, says the lift stopped moving due to a mechanical issue, meaning some people had to repel off of it.
He says this is a manoeuvre ski patrol are trained for.
The fire department was on the scene for precautionary measures, as it was a cold day on the slopes, but there are no reported injuries from those previously stranded.
