Power outages temporarily affected thousands of people in the St. John’s metro region Tuesday night.
Customers from Cowan Heights to the Kenmount Road area, including Kenmount Terrace and Kelsey Drive, as well as portions of Mount Pearl, were in the dark for periods of time throughout the evening.
Power was fully restored by 10:30 p.m.
Newfoundland Power says severe weather conditions, particularly high winds, were to blame.
