Police have arrested the suspect they were looking for in connection with a murder in the west end of St. John’s.
26-year-old Sheldon Sean Hibbs was picked up Friday afternoon without incident by police in Calgary.
It follows a Canada-wide warrant that was issued for his arrest early last month.
Hibbs is in the process of being returned to St. John’s to face a single charge of second-degree murder in the death of 68-year-old Michael King.
King’s body was found on a trail between the Waterford Hospital and Topsail Road on May 30 of last year.
