Central Health says the Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale won’t be able to accept emergencies for several periods this week due to staffing issues.
The temporary measures will be in effect on Wednesday, March 16th from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday, March 19th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Anyone in need of emergency services during those times is advised to call 911 or proceed to the nearest, alternate emergency room.
Meanwhile, in-person emergency services will be supported by overnight virtual ER services every day next week.
A detailed listing of dates and times is available on the health authority’s website.
Central Health says recruitment efforts for physicians and non-physician health care workers continues, adding they’ve been engaging doctors directly about potential opportunities and working with a recruitment firm to assist in its search for physicians.
