Team Gushue have completed what many would say was the impossible. Down a player, Brad Gushue and rink have won their fourth Brier Championship.
By defeating Team Alberta’s Kevin Koe, 9-8 in extra ends, Gushue now ranks among the top Brier winning skips of all time.
Entering the tournament as the Wild Card rink, they were undefeated until Friday. Heading into the final weekend of play Mark Nichols tested positive for COVID-19. The team dropped one game, but fought their way back into the championship game to win it all.
