St. John’s city council has approved its $25 million Capital Out of Revenue program for this year.
Some of that money has already been committed to projects, such as the new Mews Centre.
That leaves about $13 million, with almost half of that going toward new vehicles and grind and patch work.
And while it’s not the biggest item on the list, a skating loop in Bowring Park, like the one in Bannerman, might be the most pleasing.
Maggie Burton says all councillors have been asked about a loop in Bowring Park, similar to the one across town, adding she’s excited to see where the plan goes.
The $300,000 now is for the preliminary conceptual design work.
The complete list of projects is available on the city’s website.
