The provincial government is setting up a Ukrainian support desk in Warsaw, Poland.
Premier Andrew Furey and Minister Gerry Byrne made the announcement Thursday.
They say that four government employees, who have relevant knowledge and language skills, are on the ground in Poland conducting outreach with the roughly three million Ukrainian refugees in the country.
They will be responsible for hosting information sessions about supports offered by the province, connecting refugees with Newfoundland employers, and prioritizing applications from people affected.
Last night I saw off Darek Nakonieczny, Iwona Nakonieczny, Sonya Parker and

Europe is in a state of flux at the moment due to the war, but Minister Gerry Byrne assures the four NL representatives will be kept safe.
He says in Warsaw, it is safe. They have given the instructions that if anyone feels unsafe at any time they are welcomed and encouraged to leave. He says they are taking their instructions from Global Affairs Canada in regards to safety conditions.
Meanwhile, the province is asking volunteers and businesses who may have employment opportunities to reach out so they can create an inventory of possible resources.
