Two men from Conception Bay South have been arrested and charged with numerous firearms-related offences following an incident in CBS earlier this month.
Just before 1:30 a.m. on March 12th, the RNC were called to a situation involving weapons in the area of the Foxtrap Access Road.
Police say a man who was observed in the area with a handgun had left the area in a taxi.
The taxi was quickly located, and the people inside were arrested without incident.
A search resulted in the seizure of two handguns and ammunition.
As a result, 29-year-old James Tyson, who was also wanted on an outstanding warrant, was arrested.
In total, Tyson is facing 11 charges including pointing a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, careless use of a firearm and possession of stolen property.
The RNC later determined, in consultation, with the National Weapons Enforcement Support Team, that additional charges would be laid.
Then, on Tuesday, 39-year-old Justin Jennings was also arrested in relation to the incident.
He is facing 10 charges in total including careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, and other firearm related offences.
Both men were held to appear in court.
