A post-secondary school in Newfoundland and Labrador is offering 60 displaced Ukrainians a chance at a new life in Canada.
Keyin College is offering full-time post-secondary placements thanks to a $1.1 million scholarship program through the college and its partners.
Craig Tucker, president of Keyin College, says the Fresh Start Scholarship Program was the right thing to do as they have been operating in the province for 43 years.
People fleeing war-torn Ukraine for Newfoundland and Labrador will not have to pay anything for their education if they have one of the scholarships.
They have identified three areas of study for the scholarships: administration, early childhood education and the tech sector.
