The drill rig West Hercules has departed Norway, destined for Newfoundland.
The ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drill rig left Norway Wednesday in tow by the Atlantic Kestrel.
In January, Upstream Magazine reported that the rig was set to drill two exploration wells, Sitka and Cambriol Central, to help boost Equinor’s Bay du Nord development
The final destination is Conception Bay South with an estimated time of arrival set for April 25.
