The Standing Fish Price Setting Panel has voted unanimously to keep Earl McCurdy as a member of the panel.
The FFAW provided an update on the situation via their Facebook page on Thursday, March 31.
The Association of Seafood Producers vehemently called for McCurdy’s removal, saying that he was in a conflict of interest as a past president of the FFAW.
The union says the panel’s decision is welcome news for harvesters who are “fed up” with ASP’s attempts to “manipulate” the panel process.
