Another big hike for diesel and some heating fuels.
The regulated price of gas is unchanged, however, diesel is up by 14.9 cents a litre on the island and 23.8 cents in Labrador.
Furnace oil is up by 12.74 cents a litre while stove heating oil is down by 10.59 cents a litre, but in Labrador, it’s up by 20.70 cents.
The carbon tax hike comes into effect in most provinces today but not all. Quebec and Nova Scotia use cap-and-trade systems and Newfoundland and Labrador will raise its price to $50 a tonne later in 2022 but not today.
The next scheduled price adjustment is set for next Thursday.
