The 60th anniversary of the opening of Brother Rice High School in St. John’s is being marked this year with a reunion celebration planned for this summer.
The high school operated from 1962 to 1998 and a group of alumni are marking the occasion to coincide with Come Home Year celebrations.
Chair of the reunion committee, Stan Cook says they’re planning a great gathering of alumni.
He estimates about 7000 people graduated from Brother Rice between 1962 and 1998, with many of those interested in joining in the celebrations planning to make a vacation around it.
Tickets are now on sale for a reunion event at the Legion on the Boulevard on August 5th.
