Residents can expect some added flight training activity in the skies near Happy Valley-Goose Bay in the coming days.

5 Wing Goose Bay says low-level flying training operations involving CF-188 Hornets will be conducted at the Practice Target Area about 60 nautical miles south of Goose Bay from now until April 8.

Members of the public are being asked to remain outside the Practice Target Area at all times during that period.

The aircraft will be dropping Practice Precision Guide Munitions and self defense Chaff and Flares during their operations.

There is no road access to the area, however, it is outlined by a continuous cut line with signs posted at regular intervals.

Anyone who finds any foreign material in the area after the training is complete is asked not to handle it and to report its location to Wing Operations by calling 896-6900 ext 7332.
