There’s a bit of a break today on some fuel prices in the province.
The regulated price of gas has dropped by 2.9 cents a litre, while diesel on the island is down by 12.1 cents a litre.
There is no change in the price of diesel in Labrador, but furnace oil is down by 9.54 cents a litre.
Stove oil on the island is down by less than a cent at 0.68 and there is no change in stove oil in Labrador.
The price of propane is up by 1.9 cents a litre.
The PUB says while the seasonal blending of fuel products is normally lifted with the first scheduled pricing adjustment in April, the Board has decided that the lifting of the blend should be phased-in over a period of time. The decision was made based on “recent extraordinary commodity market activity.”
