The country’s premiers are disappointed that the recent federal budget did not include a “significant, long-term” increase in federal health care funding.

In February, the premiers, including Andrew Furey, called on Ottawa to increase health transfers to the provinces.

They now say Ottawa missed an opportunity to address the major health care challenges facing Canadians.
