More information is expected this week on second COVID boosters for people in this province.

Public Health officials are considering the latest recommendations from NACI on a second booster for certain populations.

Other provinces are starting to roll out their plans for the administration of another booster shot for the elderly and other more vulnerable populations.

Health Minister John Haggie says Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Janice Fitzgerald and her team are coming up with a plan and an announcement is due in the coming days.

He expects the shots will be administered in long-term care facilities followed by personal care homes.
