It’s a messy morning in some parts of the province as winter refuses to let go its grasp.
Some parts of central Newfoundland got close to 10 cm of snow last night and overnight, resulting in disrupted school schedules.
Justin Boudreau, a meteorologist with Environment Canada in Gander, says it will be blustery in some areas depending on where the temperature goes.
Boudreau says it’s that wet, greasy snow that is not particularly good when it comes to driving conditions. He says the region could get another 5 to 10 cm with winds gusting up to 80 to 100 km/h in coastal areas, creating blowing snow if the temperature stays below freezing.
