The application process for businesses planning on building parklets in the capital city is now open.

The City of St. John’s is accepting applications from business owners who are planning to build an outdoor parklet. Every business that wishes to build a parklet, must submit an application.

For businesses located on city-owned land, a discretionary use application has been approved to allow those parklets. The areas approved for parklets can be found on a map on the city’s website.

For businesses located on private land or outside the approved city-owned areas, the application process will take around 6 to 8 weeks.
