Bay St. George RCMP are asking for the public’s help in their investigation into a terrifying home invasion in Stephenville Crossing early Wednesday morning.

Police received a report that a man had entered a home on Main Street at around 4:30 in the morning, and entered the bedroom of a sleeping teen.

The unknown assailant attempted to assault the young man and ran from the home.

The man is described as in his mid-20s, and was wearing a plaid jacket and a blue jeans.

He ran from the scene, but was seen getting on a bicycle and riding toward Seal Cove Road.

Area residents are being asked to check surveillance footage from April 13th between the hours of 3:30 and 5:00 a.m. for possible sightings of the suspect.
