Choices for Youth and NAPE have reached a tentative agreement for staff who work at the congregate living facility, The Lilly.
The nine workers at the facility had been on strike since the middle of March.
NAPE President Jerry Earle says the new agreement includes a raise, retroactive pay, and a number of changes in contract language.
He says the workers haven’t seen an increase in 12 years.
Earle says workers are eager to get back to caring for their clients who also supported them through the process.
Choices for Youth is pleased a tentative agreement has been reached. It is offering thanks to its staff for their patience, trust and cooperation throughout the process and their continued hard work did “not go unnoticed.”
Details of the agreement will be released to members during the ratification process, as both sides look to finalize the deal.
