For the first time in three years, the Kelly Ford Exploits Valley Salmon Festival is making a comeback, and people in the area are excited.
The festival is set for July 15 to July 18 and will feature numerous events highlighting music, food and culture.
Grand Falls-Windsor Mayor Barry Manuel says they are very excited to have Salmon Fest back after such a difficult period.
Manuel says the festival has changed and evolved over the years, it is an opportunity to make sure everyone can participate while still drawing in the crowd from out of town as well.
“There’s something for everyone,” says Manuel, who notes that outside of the festival the area has whitewater rafting, zip-lining, a poutine festival, an ATV festival, and culinary festival, and several other things.
Manuel is expecting a lot of movement around the province this summer. He says festivals all over the province are excited to get back to normal.
