Expect to see increased activity at the Come By Chance Oil Refinery this summer, as Braya Renewable Fuels ramps up work on converting the facility to a producer of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel.
Braya CEO Frank Almaraz says feedstock will consist of vegetable oil, used cooking oil and tallow commonly used in the foodservice industry.
He says these are busy times at the facility.
He expects up to 500 employees and contractors at the site at various times throughout the summer, in preparation for the receipt of feedstock later this summer.
Fuel production is expected late this year.
Almaraz says Come By Chance has the facility and infrastructure to serve markets around the world.
“We’re glad to serve markets wherever they are,” says Almaraz.
He says the infrastructure in place at Come By Chance is ideal for bringing in feedstock and for shipping product around the world.
