Health Canada has issued a recall on certain models of air fryers due to a potential fire hazard.

Certain model numbers of Insignia™ Digital Air Fryers, Insignia™ Analog Air Fryers and Insignia™ Digital Air Fryer Oven have been recalled because they can overheat, posing a potential burn and fire hazard.

As of last month, the company has identified 36 reports of incidents involving the air fryers in Canada, including one minor injury.

Another 68 incidents have been reported in the US.

Consumers who have an affected unit are being asked to stop using the fryers and return the unit through the original point of purchase.
