A 38-year-old man is facing a list of charges following a disturbance at a gas station in Clarenville late last week.
Police received a report around 10:30 p.m. Friday indicating that an intoxicated man entered the gas bar to buy cannabis from a kiosk inside.
The gas station was closing for the evening and when the clerk refused the sale, police say the man became irate, demanding that the clerk complete the sale.
He reportedly went behind the counter, yelling at the clerk and when a bystander tried to intervene, he was assaulted by the man according to police.
The accused is facing charges of assault, resisting arrest, uttering threats, damage to property and causing a disturbance.
