The National Men’s Softball team remains undefeated at the XI Pan Am Championship after two wins yesterday. Canada is now 4-0 after defeating Guatemala 1-0 and dominating Venezuela 8-1.
Shane Boland from St. John’s was the only Canadian player to cross the plate against Guatemala. Pitcher Sean Cleary from Harbour Main continued his tournament dominance, holding Venezuela to one run on four hits while racking up 12 Ks over six innings.
Canada takes to the field for its final Super Round game against Cuba at 6:30 p.m. NDT tonight.
