Ferryland MHA Loyola O’Driscoll used his newly restored speaking privileges in the House of Assembly Wednesday to question Service NL Minister Sarah Stoodley on the review of Public Utilities legislation.
A project team was announced Tuesday for the review which will include public consultation, including involvement by the PUB, NL Hydro and Newfoundland Power.
O’Driscoll had his speaking privileges revoked by the Speaker in the House of Assembly on Tuesday for heckling and interrupting debate in the House of Assembly.
He got them back on Wednesday.
He asked Minister Stoodley whether the review will result in lower home heating, fuel and gasoline prices. Stoodley says the review will help to improve transparency and help people better understand what factors help to determine fuel prices.
