An all-women hockey tournament is being held in St. John’s this week.

The first-ever Skoden Classic kicks off Thursday at the Capital Hyundai Arena in St. John’s.

The invitational tournament will feature eight teams from four different clubs, including the only recreational hockey club from St. Pierre et Miquelon.

Players range from 13 to 70 years of age, competing at a variety of skill levels.

The aim of the tournament is to bring together women who enjoy the game and the camaraderie it brings.

Friday, May 13, 2022 – Games at 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 14, 2022 – Games hourly from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 15, 2022 – Championship Game at 9:00am
