A young man facing almost 50 serious weapons charges linked to a scary incident in the Goulds last week, has been denied bail.
26-year-old Liam Bulter was arrested after reports of a possible midday kidnapping, at gunpoint, on May 4.
Police believe the suspect went into a home and forced a woman into a vehicle and drove off.
Several hours later police found the vehicle and the pair, who do know each other. The woman was not injured.
Butler had several relatives willing to put up cash toward his release but in the end the plan was rejected and he was remanded in custody.
He’s due back in provincial court to enter pleas to the charges on May 19.
