As it currently stands, Mother Nature is going to cooperate this weekend to allow a decent view of a lunar eclipse Sunday night.
The eclipse will last or over five hours but it will be with us during a period when most are fast asleep. It begins at 11:02 p.m. and ends at 4:20 a.m., with the maximum view at 1:41 a.m.
Mike Vandenberg of the Gander Weather Office says the forecast looks good.
Skies should be clear right across the island, he says.
