A 27-year-old man has been charged after allegedly trying to run over another man in Stephenville Crossing with a side-by-side.

The incident is said to have happened last Friday morning. The victim was uninjured.

The driver of the machine was arrested and is now facing charges of assault with a weapon and dangerous driving.

He was released to appear in court in August.
