The price of gas in the province has spiked once again. It went up by 10.9 cents overnight, bringing prices to about $2.25 on the Avalon, and higher in other parts of the province.
The price increase comes on the heels of the Tories demanding immediate relief from the provincial government, saying they will do all they can to keep the House of Assembly open until something is done.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be in the province today for the Royal Visit, and Premier Andrew Furey says the cost of living will be on the agenda for the brief opportunity they will have to speak.
