This week is Road Safety Week in Canada.
This year’s campaign theme is “Safer You. Safer Me.” with a focus on the elimination of impaired driving, distracted driving, aggressive driving, and driving without a seatbelt.
RNC Media Relations Officer, Constable James Cadigan, says this years theme puts on emphasis on ending the negative behavior many drivers display when on the road.
He says if you’re practicing safe driving and limiting distractions, you’re making everyone on the road safer. He says we can’t overlook the significant power we hold with a steering wheel in our hands, as the smallest distraction can change a person’s life forever.
