Holyrood RCMP arrested two impaired drivers within hours of each other one week ago.
The first driver was nabbed last Friday afternoon. Police say the driver, a 56-year-old man was pulled over on the TCH west of Salmonier Line. He was arrested and later provided breath samples that were three times the legal limit.
Then, at 9 p.m. police received a report of an erratic driver who nearly struck a guard rail and another vehicle on the highway near Foxtrap. The driver, a 34-year-old man, was pulled over and arrested on the TCH near Witless Bay Line. At the detachment, he refused to comply with a drug influence evaluation.
Both men are now facing charges of impaired, and the 34-year-old is facing an additional charge of refusal.
They had their licences suspended and vehicles impounded, and are scheduled to appear in court in July.
