Newfoundland and Labradoir Hydro is eyeing the addition of a new generating unit in Bay D’Espoir.
Hydro CEO Jennifer Williams says there are a “whole host of options” for the company to add to the system to increase the energy supply.
One such option, she explains, lies in Bay d’Espoir. Hydro already has seven generating stations at the site, and a potential eighth station is a “really great project there.”
Williams explains that has been an option to Hydro for a long time, and is something they could look at pursuing “in the not too distant future” as an option to supply electricity to the province.
