The provincial tax cut recently passed in the House of Assembly is reflected today in gas and diesel price adjustments made by the PUB.
For those expecting an eight-cent cut as a result, the situation is a bit more complicated than that.
For areas outside Labrador, the seven cent a litre cut in taxes means that the price of gas is down by up to 5.1 cents a litre. Diesel is down by up to 8.1 cents a litre.
There is no change in furnace or stove oils on the island, while propane in all parts of the province is down by 0.8 cents.
In Labrador zones, 10, 11, 11a, 11b, 12 and 14, both gas and diesel are down by 8.1 cents a litre. For Western Labrador and Churchill Falls, diesel is down by 4.9 cents a litre, while stove oil is up by 4.92 cents a litre. Those changes reflect changes to diesel blends.
