The provincial government says it intends to publicly release documents related to a secrecy-shrouded report from the Citizen’s Representative into complaints of the alleged bullying against Elections NL CEO Bruce Chaulk.
Government announced Tuesday that the Speaker referred a report from the Citizen’s Rep to the Lieutenant-Governor in Council just before close of business Monday.
Government also received an accompanying letter from the Speaker containing a detailed analysis of the report, as well as a letter from the Speaker asking the Attorney General to consider the public disclosure of the report.
Back in March, the Opposition pressed government on the report into alleged bullying and harassment of staff at Elections NL, indicating they were nearly certain of its existence, yet both government and the Speaker were silent on the matter.
