A long-awaited Kraft Hockeyville NHL exhibition game is finally coming to Newfoundland and Labrador.
The NHL has announced that a preseason game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators will take place at the Steele Community Centre in Gander on October 6th.
The game is part of the reward for Twillingate, which won Kraft Hockeyville in 2020. The game was postponed at the time due to the pandemic.
In addition to the pre-season game, Twillingate also won $250,000 in upgrades to the George Hawkins Arena and $10,000 worth of youth hockey equipment.
A preseason game for the 2021 Kraft Hockeyville winners, Elsipogtog First Nation New Brunswick has also been announced.
