Digital Government Minister Sarah Stoodley has returned from a meeting with federal, provincial and territorial counterparts on the issue of cybersecurity.
The province’s health systems were the target of a cyberattack in October of last year.
Before being elected to government, Stoodley built a career as a digital expert in financial services.
Stoodley says the recent meeting focused on issues such as cybersecurity and digital identity.
She says the threats are real and universal, noting some rogue governments have teams of hackers tasked with targeting systems in countries like Canada.
