The first post-pandemic Powwow kicks off tonight at the Miawpukek Powwow Grounds.
The Miawpukek First Nations 25th Annual Powwow will see a return to regular celebrations as the celebrations had been scaled back over the pandemic.
The event kicks off tonight at 7 p.m. with Social Night. Karaoke, an Open Mic, and food and craft sales will take place.
The official opening takes place tomorrow with registration at noon, and Grand Entry at 1 p.m. The feast will be available to all visitors at 5 p.m.
Saturday will see an evening of entertainment highlighting Indigenous Culture in Newfoundland and Labrador, will closing ceremonies take place at 6 p.m. on Sunday
Those wishing to camp at the Powwow grounds can do so for $10 dollars per night in a tent, $15 for a small camper, and $20 for an RV.
