The brother of a Canadian hero is encouraging cyclists of all ages and abilities to join him in a special fundraising campaign for cancer research.
Darrell Fox launched the Ride of Hope in 2015, aimed at people who prefer cycling over running in the annual Terry Fox Run.
The Ride of Hope takes place in locations across the country with the main event taking place this past Saturday in Fox’s hometown of New Westminster, BC where Darrell led a team of cyclists on a 360 km ride in support of cancer research.
Fox is hoping to see participants of all skill levels join the fundraising campaign this summer.
He says it doesn’t have to be of any great distance and could be as small as getting friends together for a simple bike ride.
Fox says this is how his brother would have wanted want fundraising efforts to continue.
