A celebration of Alex Newhook’s Stanley Cup victory is in the works.
The NHL rookie just returned home to the province after winning the championship with the Colorado Avalanche.
Newhook says the Stanley Cup will be spending the day in St. John’s on August 22 as a part of a city-wide celebration.
Newhook says it will be a great day with a parade as well as a ceremony in Bannerman Park where people can get a photo with the Stanley Cup.
