The Autism Society is warning of a scam involving someone claiming to be fundraising for the organization.

ASNL says they’ve received a call from a resident of the Grand Falls-Windsor area that someone has been going door-to-door asking for money in support of the organization.

The society says they have no active fundraising events currently underway either directly or through a third party. Any fundraising initiatives will have proof of authorization.

They ask anyone uncertain about the legitimacy of a fundraiser to call them at 709-722-2803.
