A 29-year-old woman has been charged with arson and assaulting a police officer following an incident in Stephenville on Saturday.
The RCMP received a report of smoke coming from an apartment building at 6:30 p.m. When emergency crews arrived, they found a fire that they say was intentionally set in a storage area in the basement of the building.
All tenants escaped without injury or damage to their homes and property.

She is facing numerous charges related to arson, assaulting a police officer, and failing to comply with a release order.
Rose-Leader appeared in court on Monday. She remains in custody and will appear in court again Thursday.
