An advisory has been issued regarding forest fire concerns in Central Newfoundland.
Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture is asking those in the region to have an emergency plan in place and those living in wooded areas are asked to evacuate as a precaution.
High temperatures and strong winds are expected in the area, increasing the risk of current forest fires spreading or new ones starting.
There are currently five active forest fires in Central.
The area is being monitored closely and crews are prepared to respond if needed.
