The Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre in Harbour Breton will have limited emergency services today and Tuesday.

In-person ER will not be available from 2 p.m. today until 8 a.m. Tuesday, and from 2 p.m. Tuesday until 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Central Health says anyone with an emergency during that time should go to the nearest emergency room in Grand Falls-Windsor.

The diversion is the result of short staff.

Meanwhile, virtual ER will be offered from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, at which time residents can still visit the emergency room in Harbour Breton.

Regular emergency room service is expected to resume as of 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
