The Salvation Army is doing its part to help those who are stranded due to the closure of the Bay d’Espoir highway.
The group has served over 170 people and says they’re working alongside other community groups to provide food, water, and support to those stranded as forest fires continue to spread along the highway.

The Grand Falls-Windsor, Bishop’s Falls, and Botwood Lions Clubs are also pitching in to provide a rest stop for those stranded due to the closure.
