A local business is making life a little easier for a newcomer Ukrainian family.
Capital Subaru is donating a Subaru Forester SUV to the Senyk family, who arrived in the province on June 14th.
Oleksi and Tata Senyk, along with their son Myron, had been searching for a vehicle since their arrival, and had visited Capital Subaru with the intention of buying a 2012 Forester from their used stock.
However, when the family arrived today to purchase the vehicle, the team informed them they would be getting the car, a $200 gas card, and a set of winter tires for free.
Tata Senyk says to receive the car means much more to them than just a vehicle.
She says it means “freedom”, as they now have the ability to experience what Newfoundland and Labrador has to offer.
