The fire department in Corner Brook plans on visiting area businesses and commercial structures over the next few weeks to develop pre-incident plans.

The city says the plans will document key information that can be used when responding to a structure fire such as type of construction, special hazards, and location of fire hydrants.

The city says this is not an enforcement effort. They say the development of an inventory of quick reference details will help keep responders safe while on the job.
